Thank you for choosing Ideal Ink! Please review these instructions before your appointment with Kristy. Following them helps ensure the best results. Failure to follow pre care instructions will result in your appointment being cancelled.

Caffeine, Alcohol & Medications
*24 hours before: NO CAFFEINE or alcohol. Excessive bleeding may result in cancellation and affect healed results. Do not drink caffeine before your appointment!
*24 hours before: Avoid aspirin, Advil/ibuprofen, Excedrin, fish oil, and vitamin E, which may increase bleeding.
*Tylenol is allowed.
*You must be off antibiotics and steroids for 10 days before and after your appointment.
*Do not stop prescribed medication without your prescriber’s approval. If these requirements conflict with your treatment, text Kristy before your appointment to further discuss.
What to Bring & Expect
*Come alone. No children, guests, family, or friends.
*Feel free to bring ear buds. Kristy loves to chat, but while she is mapping and tattooing, there needs to be minimal talking to avoid movements in the face.
*You must be 18 or older and bring a valid, unexpired ID.
*Allow approximately 4 hours for your appointment.
*Bring inspiration photos.
*You must bring a lip gloss, lipstick, or preferred lip color to help with color selection.
*Lip blushing heals sheer and does not heal like a dense lipstick.
*For more saturated color, additional sessions may be required. Additional appointments are not included.
Arrival & Parking
*The front door on Washington Street is the only entrance to Ideal Ink.
*The door unlocks 15 minutes before your appointment.
*Parking on the 9th St. N.
*Arriving 15 or more minutes late will result in cancellation and forfeiture of your booking fee.
Products & Lip Preparation
*14 days before: Stop retinol, tretinoin, glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, AHAs, chemical exfoliants, and brightening products.
*2 weeks before: Exfoliate and heavily moisturize your lips.
*If you arrive with dry patches on your lips, your appointment will need to be rescheduled. Pigment does not implant into dry patches.
*No lip filler injections for 5 weeks before and after lip blushing tattoo.
*No chemical peels for 3 weeks before and after lip blushing tattoo.
*Any blemish or pimple in the lip area must be fully healed. Text Kristy a photo if you think you may need to reschedule.
Cold Sore Prevention
*Lip tattooing can trigger cold sore outbreaks, even if you have never had one.
*It is highly recommended to speak with your doctor about antiviral medication, such as Zovirax, Valtrex, or Famvir.
*Ask your doctor about starting 2 days before and continuing 6 days after your appointment. Follow your prescriber’s directions.
*Cold sore outbreaks WILL affect healed results.
Payments & Rescheduling
*No checks accepted.
*ALL card payments have a 3.5% Square fee.
*Bring cash to avoid the 3.5% fee.
*All sales and booking fees are non-refundable.
*Your booking fee may be transferred once when you reschedule with at least 48 hours’ notice.
*Rescheduling with less than 48 hours’ notice forfeits your booking fee.
*Additional appointments beyond the initial two are rarely needed. However, if an additional appointment is necessary, please note that it is not included in the original service and will be an additional charge.
Required Touch-Up
*Your required touch-up will be scheduled at your first appointment.
*It must be completed within 4 months.
