Booking & Studio Policies
Please read before booking. By scheduling, you agree to the following:
Booking Fee
• Non-refundable; applied toward your service total.
• Appointments are not confirmed without a booking fee.
• Booking fees are non-transferable and cannot be moved to different appointments or different clients, including family members or friends.
• Prices are non-negotiable, and services are never free unless won through a giveaway.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
• 48+ hours’ notice required to reschedule or cancel.
• Less than 48 hours’ notice or no-shows result in loss of booking fee and a new booking fee is required to rebook.
Touch-Ups & Color Boosts
• One 6-week touch-up included; additional touch-ups or color boosts are charged separately.
• Photos are required prior to annual/color boost appointments.
• Multiple sessions may be needed for dramatic, dark, or lip services.
Eligibility & Health
• Must be 18+, not pregnant or breastfeeding, and not on blood thinners.
• No antibiotics or steroids within 10 days prior to appointment.
• All medical conditions must be disclosed; doctor clearance required if under medical care.
• Cannot tattoo over keloids, moles, skin tags, rosacea flare-ups, or active blemishes.
• Lips & cold sores: Lip tattooing can trigger outbreaks even without prior history. Consulting a doctor about antiviral/anti-fungal medication (Zovirax, Valtrex, Famvir) is strongly recommended. Breakouts can affect healed results.
• No Accutane within 1 year, no sunburn, no recent chemo/radiation, uncontrolled diabetes or high blood pressure, hemophilia, or pacemaker.
• Thyroid medications may affect color retention.
• Kristy does not start clients at a touch-up price. If there is existing work from another artist, a new service record must be created, and the service will be priced accordingly.
• If you have previous work from a different artist, do not book without confirming with Kristy first, even if the previous work is completely faded.
Lips
• Kristy is not currently tattooing melanin-rich lips.
• Lip blushing and fillers must be spaced appropriately: 5 weeks apart; implants require 6 months after implant and 1 month after blushing.
• Antiviral/anti-fungal medication is recommended for lip services.
Eyes
• LASIK must be healed 3+ months.
• No contact lenses during or 72 hours after appointment.
• Lash extensions must be removed 1 week prior.
• Glaucoma clients cannot receive eyeliner tattoos.
• Tear duct plugs must be removed 6+ weeks prior.
• Stop lash serums 1 month prior.
• Eyeliner is performed in black only unless otherwise approved.
Restrictions
• No Botox or filler 2 weeks before or after appointment.
• No chemical peels 3 weeks before or after.
Results & Refunds
• Results vary; no guarantees.
• No refunds on services, booking fees, or gift certificates.
Guests
• No extra guests or children unless pre-approved.
Right to Refuse
• Service may be refused for safety concerns, medical reasons, or unrealistic expectations.
